Lisa tried for years and years to plunge to the depths of her overwhelming sadness and insecurities.  She tried to find momentum through tirelessly working with her inner world and striving to understand every nuanced detail of her own psyche in endless pursuit of the question, “What’s wrong with me?” She was stuck doing inner work only.

Jamie, on the other hand, ran herself ragged all of her adult life trying to be everything to everybody.  She was overwhelmed, overworked and at times so exhausted she would end up in bed for days. She started businesses and filed for bankruptcy, got married and divorced and married again. She started the non-profits, drove the kids to every activity, cleaned the house to perfection, made dinner, baked cookies, volunteered, served on boards and coached for free to be of service wherever she could. She was stuck doing outer work only.

Lisa spent years trying to get Jamie to slow down and Jamie spent years trying to pull Lisa out of her funks. Those were frustrating years while both insisted that they had the right way and knew best.  In truth, both were STUCK IN EMOTIONAL ADDICTIONS and couldn't realize their dream until they could rise above them. 

As fate would have it, we carried each other’s medicine. 

As Lisa began to seek higher emotional states and move out of her darker inner world and take concrete actions in the outer world, she began to feel deep satisfaction in her body and crave more and more action and heightened energy and awareness. She stopped comparing herself to other people (especially Jamie) and feeling shameful about where she’d been stuck. She was able to connect to her heart's deepest desires and believe she was capable of making things happen for herself. She learned to harness her freed up energy into creativity and fitness in a way that made her feel joyful and alive for the first time.

As Jamie began to let the checklists go and take more time for self-care, meditation and introspection, she began to look at and face some of the things that she had been avoiding.  Making these connections and clearing away the heavy emotions, allowed her to operate her life with more space, more peace and greater ease than she could ever have dreamed of. She was able to enjoy all stages of the process and recognize when it was a good day to just BE, (which can be one of the most powerful ways to manifest by the way, hint-hint)
